British Chihuahua Club Rescue
Association Secretary's Report for year 2006 Another year has gone by and in 2006 I have rehomed 33 Chihuahuas and most of them are older. Finding suitable homes becomes more difficult as a lot of the applicants are not suitable. The BCCRA now arranges and pays for the rescues to be castrated or spayed at their new owners' own vets. I did make enquiries with the Dogs Trust and the RSPCA but neither replied to my letters. We are very lucky to have Angela Maister who is a behaviourist to help us with difficult cases. Once again I would like to say thank you to all the helpers - Helen Bannister, Sue Lee, Graham Foote, DIane Lunney, Sheelagh Christison, Sylvia Fresson and my other half Rupert who gives his time to answer the phone, which is always ringing, and keeping the paperwork up to date. People often ask at our shows who are the raflle proceeds going to? The money doesn't go to Chihuahua Rescue but is either for the Club or other good causes. Pam Bungard |
