Observations of a Proud Owner
Dibbing and Dobbing,
"Don't squash me, mum!"
Feeding time at the trough,
Soggy underbelly,
Warm and moist to the touch,
Let me out, let me out!
There’s chicken in the kitchen!
Pulling and Tugging,
Toasted breath and pin prick gums,
Stiff waggy tails and twitching ears,
Already determined in life.
Soggy paper in the pen,
Backward shuffle and collapsing legs,
Charging and grr...ing in playful delight,
Now curled up together, sleep again.
Dibbing and Dobbing..................
