The British Chihuahua Club
2002 Championship Show

The British Chihuahua Club 2002 Championship Show was held at Langley, near Slough, on Sunday November 10th of that year. The show celebrated H.M .The Queen's Jubilee. There were special rosettes with a gold theme running through them, each embossed with a crown and 1952-2002. The rescue stall continued this theme. Their beautifully-made knitted toys were in red white and blue, there were Christmassy ones too and Christmas decorations.

Mrs Angela Harris decorated the Club stall with a Jubilee theme. She made for each first prize winner a plaque (mounted on gold card) on which was mounted a golden club insignia and a ribbon flag. Golden cut-out Chihuahuas stood at the back of the stall.

Mrs Pam Bungard prepared a hamper - or rather a treasure chest, a real trove of goodies and lots of golden coins (chocolate variety). She and Rupert prepared golden floral plant arrangements each containing a jubilee memorial plate for the judges. Also on her tables clothed with golden tablecloth were nibbles, drinks and a golden wrapped chocolate for each exhibitor.

Mr Graham Foote provided a splendid iced cake with edible picture of a long and a smooth atop which was cut and enjoyed by everyone.

It was rewarding for the Committee who worked so hard to make the show special that their efforts were appreciated and the show enjoyed.
